When we informed Rhys that his graphics are apreciated, via his own forum, he said:- "I had a fair amount of input on the record sleeve. The website was done using images from the sleeve by some good designers. I like to be involved and make sure things look how I want them to, but there's lots of outside talent involved in that process. I'm glad people appreciate it."

Many thanks for the e-mail notifying me of the awards that EnigmaMusic.com has won in the 3 different categories. I would graciously accept the awards on behalf of all of the Enigma fans from all over the world that have made the web site the success it has been over the past 7 years. All of the pages within the site including the Enigma Message Board have grown far greater than I ever anticipated and they seem to get more popular every month. The strength and world appeal of Enigma music and fans make the page what it is today. Once again thank you to all of those fans that voted for www.EnigmaMusic.com and to your neat page for hosting the awards - peace! - Martyn

BEST NEW OR UNSIGNED ARTIST

4. Ephemerid

3. Etheria

2. Harland

1. IKARUS

Thanks for the award!

It is really a pleasure to win the przce for the "Best Unsigned Artist" category and it gives me the energy to produce more music in the future!

To be an independent artist is really hard, because I have to work in a daytime job to earn money and do music in the night or when I have free time.
To compose music and work with artists all over the world is one of the best things that keep my music alive. The feedback from my listeners is really important to me and gives me the strength to go on!
The new album Ikarus "Breathing Cultures" is nearly finished - I have done collaborations with Indian singer Sandhya Sanjana, Zeebee, Louise and Egyptian/Indian singer Omar Ahmed.

BEST CD ARTWORK

4. Paul Schwartz - State of Grace II

3. Amethystium - Aphelion

2. Enigma - Voyager

1. DELERIUM - CHIMERA

WOW...I am totally honored.
Its monday morning and I am still whipping the cob webs out from my eyes and absorbing this great news.

Thanks Carylann

We asked Carylann about her art, she said.....

Thank you eversomuch for the honors.
My inspirations for designing CD's, essentially comes from the core of the music. It dictates the direction it will take it .
Listening to it takes me to a place, which I then capture, and translate into a visual. That is the challenge and the excitement. ....Capturing a mood!
Most of the initial visions come to me in three dimension and often in a dream. Translating it to a visual can come in various ways.
I enjoy the exploring process of design the most. (It's pure fun for me).
The experimental part of the journey is the most rewarding and fascinating part of the creative process.
When something new or different is created by pushing boundaries by messing around and playing with art. To me that is an achievement.
The Elements I draw from are Nature, film, fine art (mainly the the old Masters), photography and dreams (however ephemeral they might be)
I am constantly absorbing and studying all art forms.(You could call me an art sponge). All are a source of energy which fuel the passion to create.
Currently I am studying animation/three-dee graphics, Motion Graphics and I am also part of a painting group which meets once a week to paint.

BEST ALBUM OF 2003

4. Amethystium - Aphelion

3. Harland - Salt Box Lane

2. Delerium - Chimera

1. ENIGMA - VOYAGER

It's been hotly debated whether Voyager is among Enigma's best music or not - but it seems beyond doubt that you loved the album anyway.

A number of us also feel that Shelly Harland's Salt Box Lane deserves a special mention - this album came third in our poll and Shelly isn't even signed to a lable yet!!! For an independent release, that's a good result.
